Three forces are reshaping the placement market

Capacity constraints

Climate change is driving the loss burden, and mergers leave fewer underwriting houses. Where one carrier no longer writes the risk alone, consortium formation needs structured market access.

DORA governance

Financial entities must document ICT third-party service providers under Art. 28 ff. DORA. Informal email rounds are not audit evidence.

Media breaks

Placement over phone, spreadsheet and email creates errors, rework and liability exposure.

Corisq closes all three gaps: structured market access, DORA-ready documentation, no media breaks.

Request. Bid. Complete.

Every industrial risk is a one-off. What gets structured is therefore not the risk but the case: from the first risk capture form to the confirmed consortium.

Request

  • The broker captures the risk with structured risk capture forms.
  • The request appears on the marketplace and reaches the right carriers.
  • Sum insured, minimum share and deadline are clear to everyone.

Bid

  • Carriers express interest and submit binding bids.
  • Each bid states share, premium and validity period.

Complete

  • The broker forms the consortium from accepted bids, with lead and shares.
  • Each carrier confirms its own share.
  • The case remains documented and traceable.

What Corisq can evidence

  • 29 curated risk capture forms
  • Blind bidding, technically enforced
  • An audit-proof, DORA-ready audit trail

A strategic lever for every role

Corisq addresses the decision-making level: brokers, managing general agents and primary insurers. What the platform changes for each role:

Brokers

You take the risk to market with a structured tender and close the consortium with lead assignment and shares, all in one case, DORA-documented, without email back-and-forth. That shortens time to placement and reduces liability exposure from media breaks. Your decision authority remains untouched.

Managing general agents

Dual role without switching systems: you place and underwrite on the same platform. The separation between the capacity provider side and your own underwriting is technically enforced, and every step is documented as evidence for your capacity provider. That protects you regulatorily and strengthens your negotiating position.

Primary insurers

Your CUO dashboard shows structured risks instead of unstructured file attachments. Your underwriting profile pre-filters by line of business, territory, coverage range and maximum share; your underwriters see only what fits your underwriting appetite. The placement status is visible at all times, and lead or follow is your decision on each case. For facultative reinsurance the same platform delivers a structured risk package instead of an email request.

What Corisq does today

Beyond the flow itself: the functions for day-to-day work on the case.

Marketplace with filters
Narrow requests down by line of business, sum insured, territory and deadline.
Role-specific views
Each role sees the marketplace from its own perspective.
Deadlines in sight
Bid deadlines are visible on the marketplace and on the case.
One current bid
A new bid replaces your previous one, with no double counting.
Separated communication
Messages on a request stay between carrier and broker; in the consortium, all participants read along.
Risk capture forms on the case
Documents are attached to the case, with preview and download.

Security and regulation

Four points that firms settle before they run a case on a platform.

DORA-ready

The obligations under DORA sit with you as a financial entity. Towards you, Corisq acts as an ICT third-party service provider within the meaning of Art. 3(19) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 and supplies the building blocks you need for them. In that sense the platform is DORA-ready:

  • A contractual basis with the mandatory clauses under Art. 30 DORA
  • A data package for your register of information under Art. 28(3)
  • Notification in the event of major ICT-related incidents
  • A documented case as evidence for the supervisory authority
  • An orderly exit with your data returned in open formats

Confidentiality of bids

No bidder sees the bids of other firms. What is visible is your own bid and the placement status. This separation follows from competition law and is built into the platform itself.

GDPR and EU operations

We process personal data in line with the GDPR. The platform is operated in a data centre in Germany, and transfers to third countries are not intended. Beyond that, our work follows the supervisory and contract-law frameworks of the respective markets. We will name certifications once we hold them.

Curated access

We open the platform to a limited number of firms, and we speak with each of them first. The quality of requests and of underwriting appetite matters more to us than the number of participants. We make no claim to cover the whole market.

Get in touch

In the 20-minute briefing we show you the decision basis; the 45-minute expert demo walks through the placement workflow: no sales deck, and no commitments we cannot keep.
